Saaya reaches Baramulla

Srinagar, Jun 20 (KNS): Saaya-Shadow of hope in collaboration with drug free world organised an awareness program on Drug De Addiction at north campus, University of Kashmir and Budding Bloom High School at Baramulla District.

The main aim of the of event was to aware the students there about the ill effects of the drug abuse and Consequences afterwards. In events with speeches, literature of Drug free world was also distributed.

The guest and speakers for event was Indumeet Singh, Renowned Social Activist, Mushtaq Ali Renowned Cultural and Social Activist, Syed Aijaz Keshani Socio- Political activist, Naveed Bukhtiyar, young youth Activist, Tajamul Islam of J&K Students Movement, Barkat Kaur of SAAYA-Shadow of Hope.

Speakers put light on the cause and effects of the drug abuse. Indumeet said “the situation is alarming and it’s time to gear up otherwise Kashmir will turn Punjab”.

Naveed Bukhtiyar said, “we have to change our conditions on our own, god help those who help themselves.”

At Kashmir University’s north campus, Director north campus Prof. Naseer Iqbal gave a warm welcome to the organisers and said it’s a basic step for long relationship. This institution has been neglected for such kind of program and i will take every possible steps to do such events in this campus because there is a dire need to aware students and general public as well.

Social activists like Hasnain Khawja, Wasiq Ali Khan, Arbaaz Farooq, Pardeep Singh Dardi, Bazilla Farooq, Mehvish Farooq were also present in the program.

Adeeba Nisar hosted the event at north campus and Imtiyaz Khanday at Budding Bloom High School. (KNS)
