SIA Raids in 35-Year-Old Murder Case of Kashmiri Pandit Woman

Srinagar, Aug 12 (KNS): The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Tuesday carried out raids at several locations in central Kashmir in connection with the 35-year-old murder case of Kashmiri Pandit woman Sarla Bhat.

According to KNS, officials said the searches were conducted at the homes of several people, including former members of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAmong them was ex-JKLF leader Peer Noorul Haq Shah, also known as "Air Marshal."

Bhat, a trainee nurse, went missing from her hostel at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura, in April 1990. Her body was later found in downtown Srinagar.

The SIA recently took over the case, and further details about the raids are awaited.(KNS)
