SDA removes encroachments

 Srinagar, Jan 28 (KNS):  Srinagar Development Authority on Tuesday carried a raid in Srinagar against the shopkeepers and street vendors who have occupied the footpaths.

 
In a statement to KNS they said that In view of traffic pressure and non- availability of road infrastructure on the roads of City Srinagar where roads/footpaths have been occupied illegally by vendors and flee market leading to hindrance to smooth follow of traffic.
 
In this regard, as per the directions of Vice Chairman Srinagar Development Authority, Enforcement wing of SDA under its special drive conducted and carried out demolition drive at various places under their jurisdiction. The encroachers/violators at various places have illegally occupied/encroached, roads/footpaths/land.
 
 Accordingly all the encroachers in the shape of street vendors/Radawallaws /Mechanical and spare parts dealers who were operating their business illegally were removed and original position has been restored hence hurdles created for free full of flow of traffic were removed.
 
The demolition drive was successfully executed under the directions of Vice Chairman, SDA and in coordinated with SDPO Parimpora and officials of Srinagar Municipal Corporation. (KNS).
