Srinagar, August 10 (KNS): Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) State President Vivek Bali has called on the Central Government to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir at the earliest, stressing that the present atmosphere of peace and normalcy makes it the right time to fulfill the long-standing promise.
In a statement issued ,Bali reminded the Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of their earlier commitment to restore statehood “at an appropriate time,” stating that the current situation is indeed ideal for such a move. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have shown resilience and patience. Normalcy is visible everywhere, and this is the perfect moment to honor the promise made to them,” he said.
He further cautioned that if the Central Government delays the restoration of statehood any longer, the SBSP will be left with no option but to launch peaceful protest rallies across Jammu and Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelBali added that the party is also prepared to go on a hunger strike to press for this demand.
“The restoration of statehood is not just a political commitment; it is essential for restoring the dignity, decision-making authority, and democratic representation of the people,” Bali asserted. He urged the Centre to take swift action to avoid frustration among the masses and to reaffirm its trust in democratic values.
The SBSP leader concluded by reiterating that his party stands with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will continue to fight for their constitutional rights through democratic means.(KNS)
