Srinagar, Oct 29 (KNS): On a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Sher-i-Kashmir stadium on his proposed visit on November 7, Hurriyat Conference (G) has decided to hold a “Million March” in TRC ground, barely some distance away from the stadium.
“We have decided to hold a public rally on the Prime Minister of India’s visit in Kashmir in which more than a million people will participate and it will be a clear referendum that the people of Kashmir are with the freedom movement or they have changed with the time,” Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar told KNS.
The planned rally by Hurriyat is likely to create quite unease in the government and security establishment, which might go for a major crackdown on the separatists.
Ayaz Akbar said that Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani will invite all the top pro-freedom leaders in the march who will address the public.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“On the occasion we all will reaffirm our resolve to carry forward the freedom struggle in every way and at every cost till the goal of freedom is achieved,” he said.
The spokesman said the Hurriyat Conference will formally aware the state administration and will send a written letter to the DC Srinagar for in this regard.
He added that the proposed million march will be peaceful and disciplined in every way and that event will not create any law and order problem and nor will that disturb the traffic system.
“Both the public rallies will decide that how many people are with India and how much support the freedom struggle,” he said.
The spokesman said preparation regarding the Million March will be started from today (Thursday) and all the Hurriyat constituents will be activated for this purpose. (KNS)
