Srinagar, Feb 03 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) incarcerated chief, Shabir Shah has rejected the election process saying election and selection in the disputed Jammu Kashmir by New Delhi is an age old practice and will yield nothing. He stressed for a resolution process so that the decades old dispute is resolved according to the wishes of the people.
According to a statement issued to KNS, in a message from Tihar jail, Delhi where the senior resistance leader is undergoing detention from last one and a half years under a fake and fabricated case, Shabir Shah has said that there can be no peace in the subcontinent unless Kashmir dispute is addressed and resolved once for all.
He said that both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers and cannot afford continuous tensions between themselves. So it is better for the whole region that New Delhi and Islamabad come closer by resolving the Kashmir dispute which is the only reason of brawl between the two since decades together.
Since India is using all sorts of imperialistic measures to suppress the just demand of right to self determination of the people of Jammu Kashmir, New Delhi has started fresh spree of CASOs, killings, raids, and arrests in the disputed region to curb the people’s sentiments. However, Kashmiri people have time and again exhibited steadfastness and stressed upon the whole world that they are oppressed by a country claiming to be the world’s largest democracy. The irony is that the whole world is witnessing the genocide of Kashmiri people without uttering a single word because of its economic interests. But the whole Kashmiri nation believes that killing, arrests and force’s operations cannot deter them to raise their voice against the Indian occupation. The whole population of Kashmir is praiseworthy which is continuously struggling for right to self determination and trying its best to impress upon the whole world that they will not rest before achieving their just right. The youth are especially praise worthy who are leading on the front and giving the oppressor a tough time.
Ailing Shabir Shah said in his message that peace and prosperity of entire South Asia especially India and Pakistan is at stake because of Kashmir. India can't go with the ongoing dance of death and destruction in Kashmir for long now. It has to come on table because the fact that dialogue is the only way to move forward. (KNS)
