Srinagar, Nov 09 (KNS): The footpaths in north Kashmir’s Handwara town are completely occupied by the encroachers and authorities don’t bother to remove them from the footpaths for smoothening the movement of pedestrians and traffic in the town.
The aggrieved residents of Handwara town told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that encroachers have randomly occupied footpaths leaving no space for the movement of pedestrians and the moving vehicles even on the main streets of the town.
They sought the intervention of Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara for immediate removal of encroachers from the footpaths.
According to the KNS correspondent, the officers and officials of the Municipal Committee Handwara turn a deaf ear to the continuing public outcry against the continuing encroachment on footpaths in the town. (KNS)
