Srinagar, September 10 (KNS): Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest and Tribal Affairs J&K, on Wednesday said that the dual power system is being misused. This is wrong and it must be corrected.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Rana said, "In Doda things have gone out of control. I appeal to the people there to act calmly. What has happened shows that some unelected people, who hold certain powers under the dual power system, are misusing them."
He said, "They have put a noose on the democratic setup, and unfortunately, they are strangling the elected representatives. This should not happen in any democratic society, and we condemn it."

He also said, "I had already warned that some people are taking wrong advantage of the dual power system. Some questioned me then, asking how I could say this. But now you can see what has happened in Doda."
"The dual power system has been misused, and they have taken law and order into their own hands. This is wrong and must be corrected quickly," he added. (KNS)
