Rafi Ahmad Mir Urges Administration to Protect Eidgah from Encroachment

Pahalgam, Sept 13 (KNS): Former MLA and General Secretary of Apni Party, Rafi Ahmad Mir, has strongly urged the administration to take immediate steps to protect the Eidgah in Authnardan village of Pahalgam from alleged encroachment by influential non-local hoteliers.

Mir expressed deep concern over the growing encroachment on the Eidgah, a site of immense religious and emotional significance for the local community. He stated that local youth involved in social welfare activities are being intimidated, while illegal construction continues unchecked.

He emphasized that environmentalists, social workers, and particularly the residents of the area are deeply concerned about the situation.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We expect that the local villagers and youth will not be harassed on the pretext of false complaints against them,” he said, adding that the government has a responsibility to uphold justice and not allow intimidation tactics to prevail.
