Demands opening of Aru ,Baisaran Valley
Srinagar,Aug 18 (KNS) : In a significant move aimed at addressing long-standing issues in Pahalgam Town, Rafi Ahmad chaired an important meeting today in Pahalgam, bringing together local stakeholders, civil society members, and concerned youth members to discuss pressing developmental concerns.
The meeting, saw active participation from locals who voiced their opinion over the persistent lack of basic amenities, including unreliable electricity, inconsistent water supply, PDA related issues, and stalled development projects.
In a statementissued, Rafi Ahmad Mir said ,There are many critical issues in Pahalgam — from broken poll promises on development to inadequate water and electricity supply. The attendees expressed deep concerns over the administration’s lack of accountability and the growing gap between government promises and on-ground realities. Several residents raised specific problems, including seasonal water shortages, unplanned construction, power cuts during peak tourist months, and environmental degradation.
