Punjab & Haryana HC Judges Visit Kashmir, Boost Confidence in Valley Tourism


Srinagar, June 9 (KNS): In a significant morale boost for Kashmir’s tourism sector, eight Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, accompanied by their families, are currently touring the Valley.

The visiting delegation includes Justice Vinod S. Bharadwaj, Justice Pankaj Jain, Justice Jasjit Singh Bedi, Justice Nidhi Gupta, Justice Harkesh Manuja, Justice Aman Choudhary, Justice N.S. Shekawat, and Justice Vikram Aggarwal.

During their visit, the judges explored prominent tourist attractions such as the Mughal Gardens of Shalimar and Nishat, Pari Mahal, Dal Lake via shikara ride, and the vibrant Polo View Market.

Justice Vikram Aggarwal expressed satisfaction with the security and overall arrangements in the Valley, encouraging tourists from across the country to experience Kashmir’s unparalleled beauty and warmth.

Tourism stakeholders—including hoteliers, travel agents, artisans, and local guides—have welcomed the visit, reporting a noticeable increase in bookings and inquiries. They believe the judges’ presence sends a powerful message that Kashmir remains a safe and welcoming destination for all.
