Anantnag, July 8 (KNS): The Public Undertakings Committee of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, led by MLA Saifullah Mir, visited various areas of Anantnag district in South Kashmir to inspect the works executed by the Power Grid Corporation. The visit aimed to assess the progress made under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) for enhancing the electricity distribution network, especially in far-flung and underserved areas.
The committee members, acting on the directions of Assembly Speaker and including prominent legislators Dr. Bashir Veeri and MLA Showkat Ganai, interacted with local residents to gather firsthand feedback on the implementation and impact of the power infrastructure upgrades.

The committee is expected to compile and submit a comprehensive report to the government. The report will evaluate whether the works have been carried out in accordance with the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and whether all prescribed norms and guidelines have been duly followed.
