Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS) : J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday welcomed various prominent political figures from different districts alongwith their supporters into Congress Party, terming the development an outcome of Party’s pro-people approach and uncompromising fight for protection of constitutional rights of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued ,Adv Owais Khan Former APNI Party Leader from Shopian, Waseem Ahmad Shalla from Srinagar and Sameer Bhat from Budgam in an extraordinary function held at Srinagar Party office joined Congress alongwith their hundreds of supporters and expressed their full faith under the pro-people policies of Congress and able leadership of Tariq Hameed Karra.

They assured JKPCC President that they will join the Congress Party’s every endeavor and struggle to serve people to the best of their ability, for the fact, Congress Party has the legacy of serving and empowering people, equally.

Welcoming the new leaders into Congress, JKPCC President said that prominent political faces including Youth are joining Congress given the fact it is the only Congress which represents people’s urges and aspirations in true sense, besides it (Congress) feels committed to ensure protection of dignity and rights of J&K.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Congress has always been at the forefront to oppose every move of BJP RSS to undermine the J&K’s identity, it will continue to fight for restoration of Statehood with all constitutional guarantees. The Statehood fight which is the Party’s indigenous movement shall continue, Karra said.

J&K have suffered enormously on every count due to BJP’s divisive and wrong policies, Karra added and reiterated Party stand to continue it’s uncompromising fight for restoration of dignity and honour of J&K, which have been snatched by the BJP Govt by a stroke of pen, JKPCC President said.

Senior Congress Leaders included Abdul Gani Khan, Nissar Ahmad Mandoo, Media Coordinator Dr.Audil Farooq Mir Lasjan, District Presidents Irfan Naqib, Er.Muzaffar Dar, Reyaz Manhas, Shabnum Jan and various other leaders were present on this occasion.(KNS)
