Kupwara, Oct 23: (KNS) In a unique blend of environmental advocacy and wellness, Project Beacon (109 RCC), a grassroots conservation initiative, partnered with local schools today to commemorate International Snow Leopard Day through a symbolic 23-minute activity. The event, held on the higher ridges of the Tangdhar and Kupwara, aimed to raise awareness about the endangered snow leopard while showcasing national unity in wildlife preservation.
The morning began with an engaging awareness drive at participating schools where students given awareness. The highlight unfolded at dawn on a snow-dusted ridge overlooking the valley, where participants students, teachers, and conservation volunteers gathered for a synchronized 23-minute yoga session.
