Srinagar, Sep 18 (KNS): Former Union Minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned scholar-politician Prof. Abdul Ghani Bhat of Botengo, Sopore.
Recalling his long association with Prof. Bhat, Soz said, “I knew him as a close associate for over half a century. We worked together at Government College Baramulla and later at Government College Sopore. Those years have now become a treasury of memories for me.”
He described Prof. Bhat as a “most lovable person” who never carried ill will against anyone.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“In Kashmiri, we fondly call such a person a Maranjan Maranj — mild, gentle, and always at peace with people,” Soz said.
Highlighting his qualities, Soz added, “I had the privilege of being close to him always. Like many others, I admired him for his kindness, gentleness, and affability. Even when we occasionally differed on politics, he remained cheerful, gracious, and accommodating.”
