Srinagar, Sep 22 (KNS): Prasar Bharati has appointed Mohd Raja Khan, Programme Executive at Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, as the Head of Programme (HoP) of the Kendra with immediate effect.

The appointment was made through an official order issued by the Prasar Bharati Secretariat on Tuesday.

As HoP, Khan will oversee and coordinate the functioning of the Programme Wing, including programme planning, production, scheduling and execution, in accordance with Prasar Bharati's mandate, policies and guidelines.

Khan has extensive experience in broadcasting and programme production and is expected to contribute to further strengthening programme content and expanding the outreach and engagement of Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar.

The Kendra said his appointment would provide an impetus to innovation and creativity in programme development while maintaining the public service broadcasting mandate of Doordarshan.(KNS)
