Power Secretary, NHPC CMD visit Kishanganga Power Station

Srinagar, Oct 2 (KNS): Power Secretary Pankaj Agarwal and NHPC Chairman and Managing Director Bhupender Gupta on Friday visited the Kishanganga Power Station in north Kashmir's Bandipora district and participated in programmes held under the 'Swachhta Hi Seva 2026' campaign.

The visit was organised on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas 2026. NHPC Executive Director (Regional Office, Jammu) Anish Gouraha and Kishanganga Power Station head Rajesh Ranjan were also present.

During the visit, Agarwal, Gupta and other officials planted saplings at the residential complex of the power station under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign.

Agarwal also administered the cleanliness pledge to officers and employees of the power station.

He later visited the powerhouse and inaugurated the newly constructed NHPC Gallery.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also held a meeting with senior officials to discuss various issues concerning the power station.

During the meeting, Agarwal appreciated the efforts and dedication of the officers and employees while working in challenging conditions, according to an official statement.

He also interacted through video conference with officials posted at the dam site in Gurez and encouraged them for their service and commitment.

The programme was aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental conservation as part of NHPC's initiatives under the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign.

Officials and employees of the Kishanganga Power Station participated in the programme and pledged to continue efforts towards cleanliness and environmental protection. (KNS).
