Police recovers 3000 liters of illicit kerosene from south Kashmir

Awantipora 21 September (KNS): jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have recovered 3000 illicit kerosene at Khinbugh Lethpora, area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police statement issued to KNS said, acting on information about illicit trade of subsidized kerosene fuel at village Khinbugh Lethpora, a Police party from Police Station Awantipora raided the said village and recovered approximately 3000 (Three Thousand) liters of kerosene from a tanker bearing registration numbers JK02X-9426 and truck bearing registration number JK05A-7626.
The person involved in the said illicit trade have been apprehended on the spot identified as Uzair Ahmad Ganie resident of Samboora Pampore Pulwama and Faisal Ahmad Mir resident of Panzgam Kupwara Distt.
Both the arrested persons have been booked under the relevant provisions of law covered by case FIR No. 130/2020 of Police Station Awantipora.
