Police come up with multilingual messages to keep people firm on advisories


Srinagar, Mar 25 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday geared up its men and machinery and started awareness programs related to COVID-19 in different languages across the state to keep people firm on advisories issued by government for their safety. However general public hailed the move and termed it ‘timely’ at this crucial juncture.
According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), to execute government order on ground in letter and spirit and retreat people into indoors to keep the Corona Virus away, JKP has come up with awareness messages in different languages.
Several teams of JKP headed by senior officials were seen making people aware about the deadly results of COVID-19 which engulfed entire world and has consumed thousands of lives so far. Notably, in J&K, eight people have so far been tested positive while hundreds have been taken into quarantine centers in order to keep the society protected from the pandemic.
J&K Police while executing government directions on ground and making people aware about the Do’s and Don’t’s, department has started to communicate beneficial messages in different languages across the state.
Besides usage of loud speakers and drones, JKP is propagating the message through social media sites including WhatsApp, Twitter and others.
Sources said that these awareness programs are being carried out across J&K and district SSP’s and SHO’s are monitoring at local level. They added Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh is overall monitoring the awareness program and reviewing the situation (KNS)
