Pellet victims protest in Srinagar

Seek help from public, other organizations

Srinagar, Aug 18 (KNS): The Pellet victims on Kashmir on Saturday staged a silent protest to highlight their hardships in absence of the support from general public, NGOs and other organizations.
Scores of pellet victims under the banner of Pellet Victim’s Welfare Trust (PVWT) assembled at Srinagar’s Press Enclave today and staged a silent protest here, seeking support from general public and other organizations for their treatment.
The protesting pellet victims appealed the people of Kashmir for their “support and care” for their treatment.
A pellet victim from Pulwama while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that he sustained pellet injuries during the agitation in 2016. “During the unrest, people, leaders and other organizations were assisting us but from last six months, nobody is visiting us to provide any kind of assistance,” he said.
The pellet victims appealed the people to support them so that they get proper treatment and heave a sigh of relief. (KNS)
