Srinagar, Sept 6 (KNS): Patiala House Court on Saturday allowed MP North Kashmir Engineer Rashid to visit Parliament in custody on September 9 to cast his vote in the vice-presidential election.
The court directed that Rashid would not have to pay any travel cost immediately but must submit an undertaking to cover the expenses, depending on the outcome of appeals pending before the High Court.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The order was passed by the court while hearing the matter. Advocate Vikhyat Oberoi appeared on behalf of Engineer Rashid.
The court allowed Rashid to participate in the election while ensuring that the matter of travel costs will be settled based on the final judgment by the High Court.(KNS)
