Srinagar, Sept 21 (KNS): Renowned neurologist and Padma awardee Dr Padma Shrivastava will hold a special outpatient department (OPD) at PARAS Health Srinagar on September 23, providing patients in Jammu and Kashmir an opportunity to consult her locally, hospital officials said on Monday.

Dr Shrivastava will be available for consultations from 12 noon to 7 pm during the special OPD, they said.

The initiative is aimed at providing patients in the region access to specialised neurological consultation without the need to travel outside Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

Seema Vig, Senior Vice President and Regional Director, PARAS Health, said the initiative was aimed at ensuring access to quality healthcare closer to patients' homes.

"Our endeavour is to ensure that quality healthcare reaches people at their doorstep. Bringing experienced specialists to Srinagar enables patients to access expert consultations closer to home," Vig said.
