Addresses series of public meetings in Budgam
Srinagar, 08 Nov (KNS) : The J&K National Conference Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday addressed a public meeting in Mirgund, Budgam, as part of the ongoing election campaign for party candidate Agha Syed Mahmood.
According to a press release issued, Omar Abdullah criticized PDP for starting the destruction of Jammu and Kashmir even before the August 5, 2019, revocation of Article 370, citing their implementation of policies like GST and the SARFAESI Act, which undermined the region's autonomy.
He accused the PDP of betraying the people by aligning with the BJP not once, but twice, despite promising voters to keep them out. Omar stressed that the National Conference has always remained true to its word by refusing to join forces with the BJP, unlike the PDP.
He also condemned the BJP for eroding Jammu and Kashmir’s identity, flag and existence through its unconstitutional actions.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelOmar assured the people of Budgam that the NC was committed to the region’s development, highlighting his own efforts in the last year, including allocations for roads, water supply schemes, and healthcare facilities. He promised that if Agha Syed Mahmood was elected, Budgam would receive a university and an international cricket stadium, just as Ganderbal did.
Omar also criticized the opposition parties for leaving the Nagrota constituency open to the BJP and accused them of colluding with the party.
