Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS) : The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary, Mohd Khursheed Alam, on thuresday chaired an important meeting of Srinagar leaders at the PDP headquarters, where key political and organisational issues were discussed in detail.
according to a press release issued ,Addressing the meeting, Khursheed Alam urged party leaders to intensify public outreach, strengthen grassroots connect, and actively work on implementing the PDP’s agenda to address the aspirations of the people.
PDP Spokesperson Mohd Iqbal Tramboo said:PDP has always stood with the people of Srinagar in difficult times. Our responsibility is to take the party’s voice to every mohalla and lane and expose the failures of the current dispensation in addressing public grievances.

Former State Secretary Arif Laigaroo said There is widespread public anger due to neglect, poor civic amenities, and unfulfilled promises. PDP workers must reconnect with the people at the grassroots and raise their genuine issues forcefully.”
Additional Spokesperson Zuhaib Mir said PDP’s politics is rooted in safeguarding people’s rights and dignity. We will continue to engage youth and civil society to counter political alienation and strengthen democratic space in Srinagar.
District Coordinator Dr Ali Mohammad said Public issues such as civic neglect and lack of basic facilities require immediate political intervention. PDP will remain at the forefront in highlighting these concerns and seeking accountability.
The meeting was attended by former State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kohseen, PDP leader Gowher Sheikh, and Ward Incharge Sheikh Sabah, among others.(KNS)
