Education Minister Hails Results as “Major Achievement
Srinagar, Jan 14 (KNS): Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Wednesday congratulated all students of Classes 10 and 12 who cleared their examinations. She described the results as a “major achievement” and a reflection of the government’s commitment to the education sector.
Speaking on the occasion of the declaration of results, the minister extended her best wishes to the successful candidates and urged them to continue working hard for future academic milestones. She also offered words of encouragement for students who did not qualify, asking them not to lose hope and to prepare diligently for upcoming examinations.
Sharing details, Sakina Itoo said that a total of 94,845 students appeared in the Class 10 examination, of which 80,650 qualified, registering a pass percentage of 85.03 percent. For Class 12, 70,735 students appeared, and 59,435 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 84.

Calling the outcome encouraging, the minister noted that the marginal difference between the Class 10 and Class 12 pass percentages reflected consistent overall performance. She emphasised that the results were declared on time, and even ahead of schedule, enabling students to proceed promptly with admissions and continue their studies without delay.
“85.03% in Class 10 and 84.02% in Class 12 reflect consistent performance,” said Sakina Itoo, while applauding the successful candidates.
“The timely declaration of results ensures that students’ academic careers are not affected and they can smoothly move ahead with higher studies,” she said. (KNS)
