Jammu, July 21 (KNS) : A caravan of buses carrying over 250 Congress leaders and activists from Jammu and Kashmir regions, today afternoon left from here for Delhi as part of party 's call for Chalo chalo Delhi chalo ,for Parliament gherao tomorrow seeking restoration of full statehood.

Led by jkpcc Chief Tariq Hameed Karra alongwith AICC General Secretary & CLP Leader Shri G A Mir, Working President Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, AiCC Secretary Shah Nawaz Chaudhary, Neeraj kundan, MLAs Nizammudin Bhat, Irfan Hafeez Lone,Iftikhar Ahmed, several Former ministers and legislators, senior functionaries of PCC, District Presidents, Frontal organizations leaders including Mahila congress, Seva Dal,Youth Congress, NSUI ,Contesting candidates from both regions of Kashmir and Jammu left from Maharaja Hari Singh Park in the vehicles around 4 pm.

Amidst heavy downpoor, the PCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra and other senior congress leaders alighted from their buses at Tawi Bridge and garlanded the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh ,and raising strong slogans " Hamari Riyasat, Hamara Haq " " Aapki Riyasat, Hamara Haq " ,chheen ke lenge apna Haq,Chalo Chalo Delhi Chalo.

Taking to reporters, Tariq Hameed Karra said that Congress party has taken in hand a mission to get back their full statehood of Maharaja Hari Singh ji.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe party has been carrying on a struggle for the past around six years especially for nine months " Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq " and went in every nook and corner of J&K receiving overwhelming support of people.

He said that BJP downgraded the historical Dogra state arbitrarily, unilaterally and undemocratically and the promise to restore the same and directions of Supreme Court have not been implemented as the illegal action oof union government completes six years on August 5,next month .

Our party leadership, both LOPs Malikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi have written to the Prime Minister to introduce the legislation to restore full statehood, in this session and it has the support of entire India block.We shall gherao Parliament tomorrow and the shall seek support of all like minded parties.

The caravan shall be accorded reception at Lakhanpur by Ch Lal Singh and DCC Kathua led by Pankaj Dogra & other senior leaders and at Madhopur by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee leaders, as disclosed by Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma. The caravan shall reach Delhi tomorrow morning and scheduled to reach at Janatar Mantir around 10.30 am .Further programme shall be decided in consultation with AICC General Secretary Dr Sayeed Naseer Hussain , he added.(KNS)
