Baramulla, Mar 26 (KNS): In order to make awareness among the people, police today visited various areas of Baramulla district.

A team led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Abdul Qayoom, visited various areas including Ushkara, Gutiyar, Rangwar, Old Town, Binner, Janbazpora Khowjabagh and other places where they met with people and made awareness among them about the deadliest disease COVID-19 that has spread globally.

SSP said that, to stay at homes is need of the hour, as we all are aware of the fact that this Covid-19 has cheered thousands of people to death across the globe in which thousands of people died only in China and Italy.

“Our first and foremost aim is to keep you safe from getting infected from any sort of disease whatsoever, adding all people including health and police have put their lives at risk only for the welfare and safety of general public”, SSP Baramulla asserted.

SSP ensured the people that we are here to help you, in whatever the situation may come.

He informed the people that if you face any sort of difficulty or challenges, just contact the officials and we will be at your doorsteps for your help.

Meanwhile, later on the directions of SSP Baramulla, DySP Headquarter Baramulla, Gulzar Rashid visited various areas of Narwaw belt of Baramulla today.

DySP was accompanied by Station House Officer (SHO) Sheeri Sijad Ahmad Bhat who visited various areas of Sheeri area, where they informed the people that, stay inside of your houses, and don’t come in contact with any infected person, your safety is our motive.
“The J&K government should also ensure availability of medicines COVID 19 testing kits, PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment), Masks in all hospitals including District & Sub district hospitals, Primary health centres and sub centres in district Ramban” he demanded further. (KNS)
