Srinagar, Apr 28 (KNS): Terming Congress the only party which has been earnestly working for the overall betterment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has said that the party has for the past 70 years kept all the regions of the state intact and united.

In his appeal to the people of south Kashmir, Kadfeen said that unlike BJP, NC and PDP who have pitted people of various regions, castes and creeds against each other, Congress has been working at the very grassroots to disallow such attempts and keep Jammu and Kashmir intact as one united entity.

Appealing people to vote for the Congress candidate G.A. Mir, Kadfeen said that Mir is the only leader who can highlight peoples’ issues in parliament in a most earnest manner and his past experience has proven beyond doubt that he is the leader of mental calibre and moral fiber.

Kadfeen said that the issues being raised by the NC and PDP are farce, uncalled-for and aimed at hoodwinking the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that if there is any party that can safeguard Article 35-A at the national level, it is Congress and the party has already made its position vis-a-vis state’s unique position clear by terming it irrevocable and very important for the well being of the state.

Kadfeen urged people not to go adrift and stay united in making Congress victorious in the ongoing polls and a strong message to divisive and opportunistic forces is sent. (KNS)
