Says foreign Delegations Just a distraction from Tough Questions

Srinagar, June 2 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President and MLA Shalteng Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday said that only the Congress Party under Rahul Gandhi's leadership can solve political, economic, and constitutional problems by showing the way forward.

Talking to reporters, Karra said that the delegations being sent abroad by the BJP government are a distraction, just meant to shift focus from the hard questions being asked in India. The Congress Party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, can show the way forward.

Reacting to PM Modi's visit, Karra said that it is merely "ribbon-cutting ceremonies" in Jammu and Kashmir to claim credit, but all the development projects they are now inaugurating were actually started during the Congress-led UPA government. "They’re just cutting ribbons now," he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Karra also questioned how militants managed to reach Pahalgam’s Bessarain Valley despite high security. He raised concerns about how such a big security lapse could happen and demanded answers on what the government did with the intelligence they had days before the attack.

He also said the government's foreign policy after a ceasefire with Pakistan was announced following a tweet from U.S. President Donald Trump. “Has India surrendered its ‘no third-party intervention’ policy?” he asked, referring to the Simla Agreement.

The Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar's statement that India had informed Pakistan in advance about where the strikes would take place, he asked, “Is this not treason? Why hasn’t he resigned yet?” he added. (KNS)
