On New Islamic Year, Mirwaiz Calls for Muslim Unity, Urges End to Genocide in Palestine

Srinagar, June 27 (KNS): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the onset of the new Islamic year, calling for unity, justice, and a collective stand against the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mirwaiz prayed for peace, strength, and guidance for Muslims across the world. “May Allah protect the oppressed, guide our leaders to righteousness, and grant us the courage to face challenges together,” he said.

Commending Iran for its resilience and restraint in recent regional tensions, Mirwaiz said, “The spirit of the people of Iran and their courage in the face of aggression is commendable. Their responsible conduct, aimed at maintaining peace, sets an example.”

However, he strongly warned that true peace in the Middle East and the world remains out of reach until justice is delivered to the Palestinian people. “The genocide in Gaza, where over 70 civilians including children, women, and the disabled are killed daily, is beyond comprehension.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelEven starving aid-seekers are being bombed. It is painful and shameful while the world watches in silence.”

Mirwaiz made a fervent appeal to Muslim states to unite and act decisively. “It is their Islamic and moral duty to stand against the genocide in Palestine and work towards restoring the rights of Palestinians and ensuring lasting peace in the region,” he emphasized.

Expressing deep solidarity, Mirwaiz said the people of Jammu and Kashmir stand firmly with the people of Palestine. “We salute their patience and resilience and pray to Almighty Allah to grant them justice, dignity, and their rightful homeland.”

Mirwaiz said, the way forward lies in genuine unity among Muslim nations. “We must revive our values and stand together as one. May Allah grant us this strength.”(KNS)
