On Independence Day, Plantation Drive held in Srinagar


Srinagar August 15:(KNS) On the eve of Independence Day, Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department conducted a ceremonial plantation programme at BSF Camp, Botanical Garden here today.

The plantation programme was held in collaboration with Divisional Administration Kashmir and BSF as part of the “Green J&K Drive- 2020”.

During the programme Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and Chief Conservator Forests, Kashmir, S.F.A Gillani planted polypot saplings of Chinar and indigenous Conifers.

Conservator Forests, Srinagar, Zubair Ahmad, Commandant BSF Cheshmashahi, A.S Narwal, DFO Urban Abid Nazir and other concerned were also present on the occasion.(KNS)
