Nobody came to me with projects related to Bandipora: Naeem Akhter in Bandipora

Bandipora, 21 Oct (KNS): Senior PDP leader and former minister Naeem Akhter Tuesday formally launched his political journey from his home constituency in Bandipora.

Addressing maiden workers meet, Akhter discussed the way forward and promised he will work towards the betterment of the constituency.

"I promise Bandipora will become model district in Jammu and Kashmir," he said during the meeting.

Akhter blasted his former PDP MLA Nizamuddin Bhat when the party was in rule and Akhter was a R&B minister.

Although, Bhat had lost against Usman Majid at the time and is now a Congress MLA.

Akhter said, "He didn't come up to him with any projects or suggestions for Bandipora," while also suggesting the situation at the time as the bottleneck.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

"All that I did is my own ideation," he said reffering to projects like Wular Vintage Park, Athawtoo tourist accommodation center and Mudhamati beatification and widening of Bandipora Sumbal road.

"I had walked these streets and places during my childhood, and was motivated by that to do something for my native district," Akhter said.

Akhter also promised if elected to power the youth in Bandipora will not have to "beg for jobs" any more. He said such avanenues will be created that the youth in Bandipora "will become job providers then job seekers." (KNS)
