Bandipora, August 8: The Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Bandipora has ordered an immediate ban on voluntary workers inside the hospital, warning that strict disciplinary action will be taken against any section violating the directive.

In an order (No. DHB/25-26/621-624) issued on August 8, 2025, by Medical Superintendent Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, the administration clarified that no voluntary worker has ever been authorised to operate in any section of the facility.

All Section In-charges have been instructed not to allow any voluntary worker to perform duties in their areas.

The order has come after reports about the deployment of Voluntary staff and Nursing students for duties during nights and holidays.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

The order further stated that if any voluntary worker is found present or engaged in work, the concerned Section In-charge will be held responsible and face strict disciplinary measures. “In case of any mishap involving such unauthorised persons, accountability will rest solely with the section head,” he added.

“This order is to be complied with in letter and spirit, with immediate effect,” the communication reads.

Officials said the move aims to ensure discipline, patient safety, and prevent unregulated interventions within the hospital. (KNS)
