New Political Alliances in Kashmir Will Fail Like the Old Ones: Hilal Akbar Lone

Bandipora, July 8(KNS):  MLA Sonawari Hilal Akbar Lone on Tuesday visited Nadihal village in Bandipora district and directed the concerned authorities to take immediate measures to resolve the ongoing water crisis faced by residents.

During his interaction with locals and the media, Lone acknowledged the severity of the issue and assured the public that he would follow up with the relevant departments to ensure timely redressal. “The shortage of drinking water in Nadihal is a serious concern, and I have asked officials to address it on a priority basis,” he said.

Speaking to media, Lone also commented on the recent political developments in the Kashmir Valley. Reacting to the formation of a new alliance led by Sajad Gani Lone along with some Hurriyat leaders, the MLA said, “These alliances have not proven successful in the past and I don’t see much hope in the new one either.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Reiterating his support for the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference, Lone said that the party remains committed to resolving public grievances. He reaffirmed the party’s promise of providing 200 units of free electricity, stating, “The 200-unit electricity promise made by our leadership will be fulfilled soon.”

Lone also expressed disappointment that Bandipora district was not included in the latest proposal for National Highway status. “It is unfortunate that Bandipora wasn’t granted highway status this time. However, we will ensure that the proposal is reintroduced and passed in the next phase,” he added.(KNS)
