Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): Karwane-Islami chairman and religious scholar, Ghulam Rasool Hami on Friday said that new Haj policy is framed to hurt the sentiments of Muslims.
“The day on which new Haj policy was introduced, we presented our concerns that this policy has been framed to hurt the sentiments of Muslims. New Policy was framed without respecting the emotions of people and Islamic teachings,” said Hami, in a statement issued to KNS.
Addressing a large gathering in Shah Balg (RA) Conference at Shrine of Hazrat Aali Ali Balgi (RA) Pakharpora Hami while terming new Haj policy complete injustice with people, questioned both central and state Haj Committee that on what basis will you charge more than 1.15 lakh from Srinagar to Jeddah.
He demanded immediate removal of new Haj policy and asked government to form another Haj policy keeping in view the emotions of people.
While terming the recent fire incident at Khanqa-i-Moulla shrine very unfortunate, Hami said that sacred relics and the shrines posses a deep connection with the belief of people especially in Kashmir and the concerned department should use the most efficient technology for the protection of these shrines so that such incidents doesn't occur in future.
