Srinagar, Sept 13 (KNS): The three-day New Criminal Laws Exhibition, organised by the Economic Offences Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) at JK Police Public School Bemina, concluded on Saturday with overwhelming public participation.
The exhibition, inaugurated on September 11 by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, was aimed at spreading awareness about India’s newly enacted criminal laws. It drew an impressive turnout of students, legal professionals, civil society members, and citizens.
The event focused on educating people about the three new legislations forming the backbone of the reformed criminal justice system:

Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023

Designed as an interactive and informative platform, the exhibition promoted legal literacy, civic responsibility, and public dialogue on the reforms that are set to redefine India’s criminal justice system.
The closing ceremony was attended by Sujit Kumar, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Crime Branch J&K, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he praised the initiative for bridging the gap between law enforcement agencies and the public through active engagement and education.
The Economic Offences Wing (Crime Branch Kashmir) thanked all participants, students, and citizens for their enthusiastic support in making the exhibition a success.
