NSDC misleading, exploiting J&K Youth: Congress student leader

Srinagar, Feb 13 (KNS): The Interim State President of National Students' Union of India (NSUI) Mehran Anjum Mir along with his supporters held a protest at press club Jammu and accused National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) of misleading and exploiting youth of J&K.

In a stament to KNS,Mehran said that the government had launched a scheme under which youth will be given skill development training, accommodation and job placement free of cost. This project sponsored by the Govt was supposed to be executed by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
“But, unfortunately, thousands of youth who were enrolled for different courses have been mistreated, mislead and exploited by the National Skill Development Corporation,” he said.
“These trainees were taken to Delhi on the pretext of training for Operation Theatre (OT) but these candidates were forced to sweep toilets and bathrooms. They were mistreated, misled and exploited. Candidates said that no training was given to them and there is no hope for job placement,” he added.
Mehran urged the authorities that their grievances be listened and justice be given to them otherwise state wide protests will be started against the authorities. (KNS).
