Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS): Zainab, a 6th Semester BTech Civil Engineering student, and Er. Wasid, a PhD scholar from the Civil Engineering Department, brought laurels to their institution by winning gold medals at the Srinagar District Table Tennis Tournament, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
Zainab clinched the championship title in the Women’s/Girls category, exhibiting exceptional skill and composure throughout the competition.
Her achievement was widely appreciated as a milestone for student participation in sports. Er. Wasid delivered an equally impressive performance by securing gold medals in both the Men’s Veterans and Men’s Seniors categories, underlining his excellence and experience in the sport.
The tournament was organized under the supervision of Dr. Qazi Inam of the J&K Table Tennis Association, who served as the chief organizer. The valedictory function was attended by former Dean Academic Affairs and Prof. Mohammad Shafi Mir, who was the chief guest on the occasion.
