NIT Srinagar’s Rajbhasha Cell organizes seminar on ‘Rozgaar Ke Kshetra Mein Hindi’

Srinagar, Sep 26 (KNS) : The Rajbhasha Cell of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Friday organized a seminar on “Rozgaar Ke Kshetra Mein Hindi” as part of the ongoing Hindi Pakhwada celebrations.

According to Press Release Issued ,Prakash Chandra Mishra, Hindi Officer at MNNIT Allahabad, presided over the session as the main resource person and delivered a detailed lecture on the relevance of Hindi in the employment sector. He emphasized the importance of language in enhancing accessibility, inclusivity, and efficiency in official and professional contexts.

The workshop was primarily attended by the non-teaching ministerial staff of NIT Srinagar in online mode and was aimed at sensitizing employees about the importance of using Hindi in official work.

In his message, Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia, appreciated the efforts of the Rajbhasha Cell for organizing the seminar and assured that the administration will continue to extend full support to such programs.

Speaking on the occasion, Registrar NIT Srinagar, Prof. Atikur Rehman, lauded the Rajbhasha Cell’s consistent efforts to promote the official language within the campus.

He emphasized that Rajbhasha plays a vital role in ensuring effective communication and inclusivity across government institutions.

Adding to the deliberations, Mohammad Iqbal Dar, Assistant Registrar (Academics) and Hindi Teaching & Training Supervisor of the Rajbhasha Cell, highlighted the need for continuous training to build confidence among staff in using Hindi for administrative tasks. He said there is a need of practical workshops in bridging gaps between policy and practice.

Earlier, in his welcome address, In-Charge Hindi Officer Dr. R.P. Shukla (Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department) briefed the participants about the various activities of the Rajbhasha Cell.

He mentioned that significant efforts have been made in recent years to promote the use of Hindi on the campus, with several initiatives being successfully implemented.

Dr. Shukla also expressed his gratitude to Director Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia and Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman for their continued support to Rajbhasha-related initiatives.

Hindi Anuvadak, Dr. Sabzar Gani, who coordinated the workshop, delivered a vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to the resource person, participants, coordinators, and staff members for their contributions to the success of the program.

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants raised practical queries related to the use of Hindi in drafting official letters, note-taking, documentation processes, and ways to overcome hesitation in using the language.(KNS)
