Srinagar, Sept 7(KNS): The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Sunday announced the passing away of Dr. Saga Devan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering.

In a statement to KNS, the Teachers’ Society of NIT Srinagar said that Dr. Saga Devan was associated with the institute as a faculty member and was an alumnus of IIT Madras. The Teachers’ Society expressed condolences to the bereaved family and said the NIT fraternity stands in solidarity with them during this time. The statement added that, as suggested by some colleagues, support will be extended to the children of Dr. Saga Devan.
