‘NC leaders left everything incomplete only to please few contractors’

Srinagar, Nov 14 (KNS): PDP leader and Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Fayaz Mir Tuesday said main Opposition National Conference (NC) and its leaders are frustrated by seeing the speedy development works going on in the state in the present regime.
Talking to KNS, Mir said the NC government left all the works incomplete as they were always busy in pleasing some of their selected contractors.
“Now upon seeing the PDP led government completing all the works on time and putting the state on the path of development has frustrated the NC leaders,” he said.
Referring to the statement of NC leader Nasir Aslam Wani in which he had blamed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for patronizing over the worst phase of loot, plunder and corruption in the State, Mir said Mehbooba Mufti is personally monitoring the speedy works and ensures accountability instead of indulging in corrupt practices like the NC.
“They (NC) leaders are now frustrated. So they speak out of frustration,” he told KNS.
Mir said the ongoing works under JKPCC, ERA and other departments are nearing completion, and the NC is just frustrated at all this. “There were some allegations against a top JKPCC official, the government took stern action and suspended the official to start fair probe,” Mir added. (KNS)
