Srinagar 23 Aug (KNS) :The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Women’s Wing Saturday convened a crucial Provincial Committee meeting today at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

In a statement issued, The meeting was chaired by the NC Women’s State President Advocate Shameema Firdous, and organized by Women’s Wing Provincial President Er Sabiya Qadri. Prominent women functionaries and senior party workers from across the Valley attended the session.

During the meeting, the members held wide-ranging deliberations on the Wing’s ongoing public outreach efforts, organizational challenges, and pressing issues impacting the lives of women across Jammu and Kashmir. Emphasizing the need for an inclusive and participatory political movement, Adv. Shameema Firdous called on the cadre to scale up outreach activities in every district.

In a significant development, Shamim Firdous announced the launch of a Valley-wide Signature Campaign, announced by the honourable party vice president and Honourable chief minister Omar Abdullah, aimed at mobilizing support for restoration of statehood which she emphasised is central to the welfare, dignity, and political empowerment of Kashmiri women.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelShe urged Women’s Wing functionaries to reach every household and ensure the participation of "every mother and sister in Kashmir" in the campaign.

“We must knock on every door and ensure that the voice of every Kashmiri woman is heard. Our strength lies in our unity, and in our collective will to stand up for our rights,” said Adv. Firdous.

The meeting concluded with renewed resolve among members to intensify public outreach and strengthen the party’s bond with the people at the grassroots.(KNS)
