Karnah, Aug 02 (KNS): In a heartrending incident, a father lost his lifetime earnings, including accumulated wedding wares for two daughters, whose marriage scheduled next month, in border shelling in Bakayain Tanghdar Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Mohammad Shafiq, a resident of Bakhayain, Tanghdar and father of five daughters cries as border shelling shattered his dreams of getting his two daughters married next month. Shafiq, who is the only bread earner of the family told Kashmir News Service (KNS), “Not only household items, I even lost my all earnings including the items which I had purchased for the marriage of daughters.”

Meanwhile, affected family appealed to local administration to come forward and help them with compensation and other things so that they can rebuild their life. (KNS)
