Missing panch’s body found in shopian orchard

Srinagar, Aug 28 (KNS): A bullet ridden body has been retrieved from the orchards of Dangam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian on Friday morning .
The body has been identified as Panch Nissar Ahmad Bhat of Khonmoh, Pampore, and has bullet marks over it.
Earlier, an unverified clip had surfaced where purported militants claim that they have ‘killed the Panch’ from Khonmoh who has been missing since August 19.
In the audio clip purportedly released by militants, the makers claimed to have killed the Panch adding that they would “not return the body due to the pandemic” and that “no resignations will be accepted from anyone now”.
The family had already filed a report with police, stating that Bhat left for Shopian on August 19 and was missing since then. (KNS)
