Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNS): Authorities on Tuesday placed Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house detention at his Nigeen residence.
Hurriyat leaders told KNS that Mirwaiz was placed under house detention on late Tuesday evening at his Nigeen residence.
He was placed under house detention soon after Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) called for complete shutdown on Feb 09 and Feb 11 in connection with the hanging anniversaries of Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat. (KNS)
