Srinagar, June 19 (KNS): Paying tributes to Dr Qazi Nisar on his 25th anniversary, Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the former was a great scholar, religious, political and social leader, and his contribution will always be remembered.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mirwaiz said Shaheed Qazi Nisar as a noted religious scholar and popular political leader dedicated his life to a noble and just cause of Kashmir, adding the sacrifices given by the people and the leadership are priceless and cannot be forgotten.
Mirwaiz said that “we need to rededicate ourselves not only to preserve these sacrifices but make all efforts to take the ongoing movement towards its final goal of freedom.”
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz visited SKIMS to enquire about the condition of the Soura youth Abdul Majeed, who was seriously injured as he was hit by a barrage of pellets fired by police force and is battling life and death.
Mirwaiz prayed to almighty for his speedy and fast recovery. (KNS)
