Srinagar, Feb 12 (KNS): Awami Action Committee (AAC) patron and APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq condoled the demise of AAC halqa president for Khankah-e-Moula-Shamwari, Farooq Ahmed Matoo stating that the deceased was deeply committed towards the party and Kashmir movement.
Mirwaiz extended his sympathies and solidarity with the family members of Matoo. He, however, couldn’t attend the funeral prayers of Matoo as he continues to remain under house confinement since past two weeks.
In his condolence message, Mirwaiz said that Matoo was one of the front runners of AAC who joined the party under the leadership of late Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq, the founder of AAC and since then had been working with zeal and zest. Mirwaiz said Matoo’s demise is a big loss for the party.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Mirwaiz, an AAC delegation visited the residence of Matoo and offered special Fateh prayers for the departed soul. (KNS)
