Urges Youth to Embrace Moral Development Beyond Material Goals

Srinagar, Sep 27 (KNS): Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam organised a seminar titled “Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW): Our Society and Our Responsibility” at the auditorium of Islamia Higher Secondary School. Students from private institutions across the Valley participated in the programme, which highlighted the enduring relevance of the Prophet’s life for contemporary social reform .

Addressing the seminar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq cautioned that meaningful societal transformation can only occur when individuals change themselves . Drawing on the Prophet’s life as a model of compassion, justice and personal accountability, he stressed that neglecting Islamic morals in daily affairs—be it business dealings, personal relationships or social interactions—undermines community well-being ?.

“Society will not change unless each of us reforms our character,” Mirwaiz said. “We claim to love the Prophet, yet in no aspect of our lives do we truly adopt his values.” He warned against the growing materialism that equates success with wealth and status and urged the audience to reconnect with spiritual and ethical principles.

Mirwaiz reminded students that education is not solely about obtaining a degree; rather, true learning involves comprehensive development—seeking knowledge, building moral character and distinguishing right from wrong.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“A degree is not the ultimate goal,” he noted. “The purpose of education is to cultivate informed minds and noble hearts that know justice, compassion and humility.”
