Seeks stocking of ration, other essential supplies in upper reaches of Kashmir division
Srinagar, 08 Oct (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (Kashmir) Provincial President Showkat Mir Wednesday urged the Omar Abdullah-led government to continue its good work in ensuring adequate arrangements for essential commodities during the approaching winter months, particularly in the upper reaches of the Kashmir division.
In a statement issued, Mir appreciated the government’s well-devised strategy and efficient planning during the previous winter, which ensured smooth availability and stocking of ration, kerosene oil, and other essential supplies even in remote and snowbound areas.

“The timely stocking of food grains, kerosene oil, LPG, and other essential items must remain a top priority. The commendable efforts made last year should be continued with the same dedication so that no area faces shortages during harsh weather conditions,” Mir said.
He further expressed confidence that the Omar Abdullah government will uphold its commitment to public welfare and ensure that all necessary measures are taken well in advance to serve the people of Kashmir efficiently.(KNS)
