Mehbooba Mufti Visits Bandipora, Offers Condolences to Moulana Rehmatullah Mir Qasmi

Srinagar , August 18 (KNS) : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Misra Begum, the revered mother of renowned Islamic scholar and Rector of Darul Uloom Raheemiyyah, Bandipora, Moulana Rehmatullah Mir Qasmi. Misra Begum passed away on Friday evening at her residence in Nibripora after a prolonged illness.

In a statement issued, Mufti said: “This is a moment of immense grief for Moulana Qasmi, his family, and all those who held Misra Begum in high regard. Her passing leaves behind an irreplaceable void. I pray that Allah (SWT) grants her soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgives her shortcomings, and bestows strength and patience upon the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

To personally share her sympathies, Mufti visited Moulvi Rehmat Ullah along with senior PDP leaders including former ministers Naeem Akhtar ,Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Former MLC Yasir Reshi, MLA Pulwama Waheed ur Rehman Para, former MLA Noor Mohammad Sheikh, District Presidents Syed Sajad, Zahoor Ahmad Rather , Mohd. Yaseen Bhat ,Abdul Qayoom Bhat and Social media incharge Syed Tajamul Islam.

The funeral prayers for Misra Begum were held at Qadeem Jamia Masjid, Nibripora, drawing large participation and evoking widespread condolences from religious and social organisations across Jammu & Kashmir—reflecting her revered stature in the community.

The PDP reaffirms its solidarity with Moulana Qasmi and his family during this difficult time.(KNS)
